Specializing in an individualized approach to eating disorder recovery

Initial Session

Your initial session will start with me getting to know you and your story when it comes to food, exercise, and body image. My individualized approach to nutrition counseling is intuitive, creative, client-centered, and evidence-based.

We'll explore what's been overwhelming you in your relationship with food and unpack what it might look like to consider a healthier, more freeing approach.

Nutrition counseling is a journey together,
and it all starts in our initial session!

from overwhelmed to confident

Follow-Up Sessions

Cost of 60-Minute Initial Session: $165

Cost of 55-Minute Follow-Up Session: $155
Cost of 40-Minute Follow-Up Session: $120

Follow-up sessions are where we will start to work toward greater clarity and confidence in your relationship with food.

Depending on your needs, we will focus on a mix of both nutrition "practicals" (such as eating balanced meals) as well as the thoughts and feelings that are driving how you are currently relating to food.

If healing from disordered eating were as simple as following a meal plan or getting a list of snack ideas, I'm guessing you would have already moved on! You can expect comprehensive support in our sessions together.

Some of the many things we might work on in sessions include :

  • Exploring restrictive food rules and considering more freeing, flexible alternatives
  • Learning to nourish your body well with satisfying, nutrient-dense meals and snacks
  • Identifying and responding to hunger and fullness cues
  • Regulating your period or restoring your missing cycle
  • Feeling more centered and calm around food
  • Finding and maintaining a healthy weight range for your body
  • Engaging with exercise in a healthy, non-obsessive way
  • Pursuing health rather than obsessively chasing a number of the scale  (which may or may not be healthy for you)

I've learned the hard way that there is no such thing as "perfect nutrition."

let's journey together toward true health

and much more!

Follow-up sessions are scheduled on a weekly, twice weekly, or every other week frequency depending on client needs and preferences.

hey there, I'm Libby!

I know you need more than a typical dietitian to move forward in your recovery. You need someone who really gets what you're experiencing, because she's been there too.

I've weathered my own journey going from all things confusion and chaos to confidence with food, and am excited to support you in getting there too!

frequently asked questions

How do I get started?

Schedule your free 15-minute consultation phone call where we can chat a bit about what's been going on, answer any questions, and decide if working together will be a good fit. We can go ahead and schedule your initial session during this call as well.

Q1 of 4

Do you accept my insurance?

To provide the most customized experience for clients that I can, I choose to be out-of-network with insurance companies. That being said, a number of my clients are able to receive partial or full reimbursement for sessions depending on their plans. To pursue this option, I can create a monthly superbill (itemized receipt) for your sessions. The responsibility and logistics related to contacting one's insurance company lie with the client.

Q2 of 4

Do you see clients in-person?

I see clients virtually (hello from Ann Arbor, Michigan!).

There are a number of benefits to virtual counseling. You get to be in the comfort of your own home (or a private space at your workplace or school). With no need to travel for sessions, making time for appointments becomes that much easier. Additionally, I utilize a variety of digital client resources and tools in our sessions, so being able to screen share is another plus of virtual counseling. Read more about virtual nutrition counseling here.

Q3 of 4

Do you work with adolescents?

I work with clients ages 18 and older.
